Quartz is a mineral in a broad sense with similar chemical composition. Quartz can be divided into two main subsets. Crystalline (macro-crystalline), the variety is generally associated with quartz. This group includes Quartz, Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, Cat's eye Quartz others. The second group are polycrystalline (micro-crystalline), and have in turn several subgroups. There are also other Quartz which consist of the Opal Group.
 
Quarts will not occur in this colour naturally.  It is treated to come rainbowcoloured. Quarts is a very good and popular gemstone for jewelry, its hard and appear in many colors. This varity of mystic Quarts is diffusion treated, wich means it have a slight layer of the metal Titanium wich gives the effect and is colourless Quarts inside. Not good to recut in other words.
