Quartz is a mineral in a broad sense with similar chemical composition. Quartz can be divided into two main subsets. Crystalline (macro-crystalline), the variety is generally associated with quartz. This group includes Quartz, Amethyst and others. Rock Crystal is the colourless varity of Quarts. This varity "Diamond Quartz" is so called mainly because of its diamond like crystal form. Is found with inclusions of actinolite or with small bubbles of petroleum wich gives nice light effects with UV. There is also clear varity called Heikemer Diamond.
