Very rare and valuable gemstone. More rare than diamond and few new deposits are found. Ruby and Sapphire are the same mineral corundum and the red varity is Ruby. The adorable red color comes from small elements of Cromium. Wellknown deposits in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam och Burma. The largest deposit and production this days from Madagascar.
